The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield,
and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Youth + Missions Pastor
Haig was born and raised in Allendale, New Jersey by parents who loved Christ with all their hearts, though he didn’t have a personal walk of ‘his own’ until age 18. He was discipled by Prof. Varoujan Mazmanian and served in college ministry for four years as he studied Mathematics at Stevens Institute of Technology. He went on to work and study as a graduate student toward an MA in International Relations in Ankara, Turkey, independently studying and working toward inter-ethnic reconciliation from a Christian worldview, and was beginning a PhD in Political Science at the University of Maryland when the Lord ‘reminded’ him of his calling (which he’d been aware of since age 14) to enter full-time pastoral ministry. During a very tragic but spiritually rich year, he left his dreams of becoming a professor and began asking the Lord where He’d send him. He was called to serve as pastor of youth, missions, and discipleship at COA Church in Glendale, CA in the spring of 2016, and moved there in the end of July. By the grace of God, he has been growing in his ministry role over the last 6 months as well as his security in his identity as a child of God. He is a huge, long-time fan of P.O.D. and is engaged to the love of his life, Natalie.

Ani Kassabian has been attending COAC for over 15 years, and has been involved in ministry in some capacity for over 10. She came to know the Lord at the age of 15, after growing up in the church for most of her life. With a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Life Pacific College, Ani has a passion to study the Word and teach others about its rich truths. Currently, God has placed this desire specifically for the youngest among us - the children. As the Children's Ministry Director, she hopes to see kids of all ages come to a deeper understanding of who God is, and surrender their life to Him at a young age. Ani lives in Glendale, CA with her husband Sako, and two sons, James and Elijah.
