“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
(John 15:4)
As we approach the celebration of Holy Christmas, during this season of Advent preparation, a women’s luncheon-fellowship event was held at Christian Outreach Armenian Church. The central theme of the gathering was:
“What does Christ think of me, and what does He desire for me?”
(John 15:1–11)
The event was attended by many women who are members of the church, approximately one hundred participants in total. During the women’s ministry session, emphasis was placed on the truth that a Christian, as a branch grafted into Christ – the true Vine – is called to live her life according to the truths that flow from His Word. Our identity, value, and calling are shaped not by the world’s opinion, but by the truth of who we are in Christ. When we abide in Him and allow His Word to dwell in our hearts, our lives begin to bear fruit.
Our one and highest purpose should be to bear good fruit, so that the Father may be glorified. God’s glory is most clearly revealed when we find our complete satisfaction in Him. The greater our satisfaction in Christ, the greater the glory the Lord receives through our lives.
By keeping His commandments, we remain in His love—and that love is Life and Richness: spiritual fullness, peace, and joy.
This gathering served as a special reminder that Christ calls us to live a fruitful, purposeful life that brings Him glory, by remaining steadfast in His love and truth.
