The COA Church joyfully celebrated its 35th Anniversary with a special banquet evening marked by gratitude, worship, fellowship, and reflection on God’s faithfulness throughout the years.

The evening began with a warm welcome, reception, and photo session, allowing attendees to reconnect and share in the joy of the occasion. The program opened with words of greeting and prayers by the church moderator, David Khachatryan, followed by a worship song by the children’s choir’s beautiful performance, setting a heartfelt tone for the celebration.

A prayer of thanksgiving was offered by Rev. Hendrik Shahnazarian, expressing gratitude for God’s guidance and blessings over the church. The program continued with a special solo performance by Eliz, who sang “Jesus Paid It All,” touching hearts and pointing all to Christ’s sacrifice.

The evening message was delivered by Rev. Ara Chakrian, who spoke about the mission of the church—encouraging the congregation to remain faithful in proclaiming the Gospel, serving the community, and continuing the work God has entrusted to COA Church. A short video presentation followed, highlighting the history, growth, and impact of COA Church over the past 35 years.

Lead Pastor of COA Church, Rev. Hovhannes Hovsepyan, then delivered a heartfelt message, emphasizing the mission and identity of the church, calling the congregation to continued faithfulness, and reminded all of God’s faithfulness and enduring help, as in 1 Samuel 7:12: “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

In his address, moderator David Khachatryan led the presentation of plaques honoring former pastors, recognizing their years of faithful service and dedication.

One of the most joyful moments of the evening was the ceremonial cake cutting, shared by elders, deacons, and both past and present pastors—symbolizing unity, continuity, and thanksgiving.

The celebration also included a raffle fundraiser, adding an element of excitement and support for the church’s ongoing mission.

The worship and praise songs throughout the evening were beautifully led by the COA Church worship choir, guiding the congregation in heartfelt praise and thanksgiving to God.

The evening concluded with a closing prayer and benediction led by Rev. Shanlian and Rev. Shahnazarian, sending everyone forth with gratitude, renewed faith, and hope for the future.

This memorable event stood as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the strong, united community of COA Church over the past 35 years.
