At Christian Outreach Armenian Church, Mother’s Day was celebrated as a special occasion to honor mothers and reflect on the biblical truth that God values women highly.
The main message of the celebration focused on the dignity, purpose, and honor God has given to women. According to Scripture, women are not only cherished by God but are also entrusted with an important role in building families, nurturing faith, and serving His kingdom. From the beginning, God created women with value and purpose, and throughout the Bible, He reveals His care and respect for them.
During the service, one of the church members Gohar Nersisyan shared a meaningful narrative on this theme, speaking about how God values women highly and how their wisdom and character shape both the home and the church. The message reminded the congregation that a woman’s influence is a precious gift from God.
The reflection was based on Book of Proverbs 14:1, which says, “Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.” This verse highlighted the vital role of women in building strong families through faith, wisdom, and love. The speaker also shared Proverbs 21:9, “It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house,” emphasizing that God values not only a woman’s role, but also the godly character, peace, and wisdom she brings into the home.
The celebration concluded with prayer and fellowship, as the church gave thanks for all mothers and women, recognizing them as a blessing from God. It was a joyful and encouraging day, centered on the truth that women are deeply valued by the Lord and called to reflect His love in their lives.
