On April 27, the COAC Couples’ Ministry hosted its monthly gathering, welcoming 19 couples for an enriching time of learning and fellowship. Pastor Rev. Hovhannes Hovsepyan continued the ministry’s ongoing series based on Gary Chapman’s book The Four Seasons of Marriage, focusing this session on the “spring” season of marriage. He explained that spring symbolizes a time of renewal, hope, and growth in a marriage, characterized by gratitude, openness to new experiences, and a willingness to face challenges together. Couples in this season often feel excited about their future and enjoy warmth and closeness in their relationship.

Rev. Hovhannes read Song of Solomon 2:10–15, emphasizing verse 15, which warns against the “little foxes that spoil the vineyards.” He reminded couples that even during seasons of growth and joy, they must remain vigilant against subtle threats to their unity and stay rooted in faith and commitment.

In honor of Armenian Heritage Month and the April 27 date, the gathering featured a special Armenian theme. Couples had the chance to take photos wearing traditional Armenian vests against a beautiful backdrop of Mount Ararat. The lunch menu featured classic Armenian dishes, including khashlama, gata, and halva. During the meal, couples enjoyed listening to beloved Armenian songs that evoked memories of home.

After lunch, attendees participated in two Armenian-themed games, adding a fun and interactive element to the day. The gathering also included a time of prayer, where couples shared personal prayer requests with one another. To close the event, each couple received a special keepsake: their photo transformed into a cartoon-style Armenian-themed portrait—a joyful and memorable ending to a meaningful day of cultural celebration and marital growth.
